What is a good converter from mp4 to wmv or avi that keeps the same quality?

I am trying to make a movie on windows movie maker and my cam films in mp4. Ive tried converting it to avi and wmv but the quality is pixely and not as clear as the mp4 version. Are there any free converters that will keep the quality in tact?
If not, do you know any good video makers like wmm that supports mp4 vid files? Thanks

usually the free version only have the basic functions, poor services and video quality.
I recommend one, which can convert among MP4, H.264, AVI, MP3, WMV, WMA, FLV, MKV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, 3GP, 3GPP, VOB, DivX, Mov, RM, RMVB, M4A, AAC, WAV. etc
