filed in One Bytes on Dec.22, 2009
I live in a humid climate and my hair always gets really frizzy. What at home remedies can I use to make it less frizzy and/or what products can I purchase to make my hair not frizz? Thanks!

Rollers are best for controlling frizz.
For the really nice looking, modern pretty styles that you see around now, wet set your hair using either velcro or the plastic type of rollers. You can also style your hair in different ways, plus its better for your hair and the curls hold better and last a long time. This yahoo groups has tons of pictures of the latest styles without the spam and links to go through. It takes some patience because there are so many pictures. It might be of help.

the best home product that i actually just used less than five minutes ago was VINEGAR. after you shampoo and condition, make your water as cold as you can handle, and use either white vinegar or apple cider vinegar (apple cider vinegar smells better) and just gently pour it through your hair with the cold water. this will close the cuticle on the hair shaft, making your hair really soft, shiny, and cuts down the frizz! i do this every other time i shower. if you like wearing your hair straight, it will make it a little bit straighter. my wavy/curly hair becomes loose waves. garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in conditioner is great too! if you are blowdrying/straightening/curling your hair a lot you should use a leave in thermal product. my favorite is nioxin thermal protectant, its like ten dollars.

well when i wash my hair i use herbel essences the pink one for straight hair or head and shoulders. i then towel dry it, put conditioner and then a bit of gel…
but i put the gel when my hair is wet so that it wont become hard and dry.
i then blow dry aand voila!! it will still be a little fizzy but not the frizzy type that u hate:)
i dont like it when hair is too sleek so thats what i do:)
but i heard of one home remedie that u use egg or milk on ur hair then wait 20 mins and then get in the shower:)

definitely garnier fructis!! haha i’ve tried all their products, but the best of theirs is the garnier fructis 3 minute masque. what i use for my hair (yeah its pretty hot over here 2) is dove intense damage therapy shampoo, and then the garnier fructis 3 minute masque. that works pretty much for me both in hot and cold weather =) and if u still have a lil friz on the top, what i do is i take the garnier fructis leave-in conditioner and brush it out, and no frizz until the next time i wash my hair!

Frizziness is caused by split ends and dry hair. You probably need to deep condition your hair twice per week, and also have your ends clipped at least once ever 6-8 weeks. Also try investing in some moisturizing leave in conditioners such as Herbal essence long term relationship or Aussie moist products

For ultimate frizz control it has to be Escova Progressiva, or Brazilian Blowout. It’s keratin based, so it’s actually good for your hair and helps repair damage and restore elasticity.
