How do you think our religious humans would treat aliens once we finally discover them?

Obviously this won’t be in my life time, but how do you think the religious people will treat the aliens?
Will they be treated as an abomination of God? Will they try to convert the aliens, by sending a Missionary spaceship like on South Park? Will the Muslims declare all aliens "Jihad" and suicide bomb their spaceship into a government building? What will happen?

This will depend entirely on whether the aliens think humans are delicious.

If an alien intelligence were to study our society they would most assuredly stay away until such a time as we became civilized.
I am certain that aliens would deem our society a failure in evolution and would not desire to have anything to do with us while primitive societies such as the religious communities of Christians and Muslims existed.

Blessings to all, i just think that all of the human kind will just fall down and die of pure panic and in this case we could never tell how we will treat them since no one will be standing i mean this make sense, the Bible tells us in MARK 9:2-9:
(NIV) After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and
led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was
transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter
than anyone in the world could bleach them. And there appeared before
them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus.
Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put
up three shelters – one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."
(He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.)
Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the
cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!"
Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them
except Jesus. As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them
orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had
risen from the dead.It says in this verse that the Disciples were so frightened.So can you imagine what will happens if man really see an alien for real. Nice and interesting question i like it.

If Jesus Ascended out of the clouds in some super power nation they would shoot him down as he would be invading their airspace and if you believe in ALIENS the the superpowers would do the same to them

First they will ask if they have accepted Jesus into their hearts and when they ask Who? and What’s a heart? They will kill them horribly. The Muslims won’t get around to the questioning part.

The greeting from the religious community would be varied. New religious would start overnight worshiping them. Some of the more progressive religions such as Catholicism would welcome them and rush to work them into "God’s plan". Bible verses would begin popping up overnight to explain them. These verses would be presented as prophecy, even though they are only able to predict the past. Fundies would wage war, but not a war where they actually fought. More a war where they told anyone who would listen that the aliens were the devil in disguise, which, by the way, is an actual so called "theory" on UFO sightings. There are those who believe that UFOs (which they do NOT define as "unidentified", but still call UFOs because ambiguity makes it easier to never admit being wrong) are really demons, sent here to confuse us. I suppose proof that aliens exist would automatically, in the minds of the very nearly clinically insane, also by default "prove" every wild theory they’ve ever had about aliens because they were proven right on one front, that they exist, so it becomes kind of an "all in" thing. It is the same story whether it is religious nuts, UFO nuts, Bigfoot nuts or pretty much any nut who believes in make believe stuff.

The Pope said he would treat aliens as ‘brothers’, because they would supposedly also have been created by God. Once upon a time, when I believed the fairytale called the Bible, I also took that approach. The Bible is allegedly a written account of man’s limited knowledge of how the Earth was created. There’s nothing in it to indicate aliens don’t exist. God doesn’t have to gossip about his other creations, he could have millions of other planets out there for all we know.
