How to make clip in hair extensions look good?
filed in One Bytes on May.01, 2010
I have clip in hair extensions and was wondering how i could make them look as natural as possible. When i put them in they look really random because you can see where my normal hair ends. They are synthetic so i cant straighten or curl them, just wondering what other styling tips i could use. Thank You.

be careful with synthetic clip in hair, they can get damage very easy that is why i only use human hair clip ons only. see reference sites for more information.

you should get the extensions cut/layered so it blends more with your natural hair!!
when putting in the extensions you part your even with the top of your ears and then place in the extensions then let the top layer down and it should blend more
mind you synthetic extensions look quite fake!

well don’t put it by your roots/part because you can see the clips just put them under ur hair about an inch form your part/roots and then cut it to the length of your hair. then it shoud look natural

Making hair extensions look natural can vary from person to person. I would recommend making sure that the hair extensions match the texture of your hair. If the texture of the extensions does not match yours, you may have to press it out with a high quality flat iron, set/curl it with rollers, or use a waving iron to mimic the texture of the hair extensions. Also, you can place the clip-ins closer to the crown of your head. If the extensions are drastically longer than your natural hair placing them closer to the crown will minimize the gaps in length. Once they’re installed you may also consider razor cutting layers throughout to create a more natural look and to give the extensions a little more texture. I would also recommend using remy human hair extensions, they look more natural and last for a very long time.
