If Kanye West took the mic, interrupted and humiliated you when you received an MTV award (or any award) and about to make a comment, what would you do? The award ceremony was watched by millions of people. How would you react?

Nothing near as ladylike as what Taylor did. Her class & elegance came through with flying colors, as did Beyonce’s.

I don’t know what I personally would have done, but I probably wouldn’t have handled it as gracefully and in as a professional manner as Taylor Swift did. She did look quite stunned and embarassed, and unsure what to do, but I probably would have smacked him or something. He certainly did deserve a good SMACK.
Kanye West is a P.O.S. for embarassing her like that – she’s very young and she was very aware of the "legends" that were in that audience, anyone in that situation at her age would have been humiliated, and I think she did a fantastic job of maintaining her composure while he was on his "rant".
How DARE he treat her like that.
Kanye West needs to be medicated for his next public event, if he can’t have any more self-control than to act like that. Obviously his mother never taught him how to behave in public.

I would have beat all the disrespect out of that piece of chit that I possibly could have. Of course it would be impossible to beat every last ounce out of the jerk without killing him but I would have tried! It’s a shame nobody in the audience saved poor taylor during another one of the crybaby’s temper tantrums, I would of loved to see someone spear his ass right off the stage.

The tough part is that Taylor is so young and sweet and I assume she was stunned and shock set in.
My immediate reaction this morning was – I’d respond "Wow, how many times do you have to prove that you are a worthless POS. There is an old saying Better to keep your mouth shut and let people THINK you are a moron, than open your mouth and eliminate all doubt. Now, I would like the thank MTV and the fans for their support for MY VMA award."

What Kanye West did on the VMA’s was inexcusable, it was unprofessional and immature, and I could go all day about how wrong it was. Nonetheless, my admiration of him does not change. As he said in his "Cant Tell Me Nothing" song above, Kanye gives people the freedom to be a rapper, be smart, have passion, have fashion, and express the way you feel; that will never change. His ability to let his feelings be heard, and his outspokenness that is often equated with arrogance is not given enough credit; he said what a lot of people were thinking. I actually thought Pink should have won; Beyonce would/should have definitely won the video of the year, but I think Kanye was trying to address MTV’s judgment, I don’t think he did it to downright humiliate Taylor swift even though he did exactly that. But let’s face it…Taylor Swift though! I don’t care who you are if you actually watched the show you were probably thinking "Aww look at Taylor Swift, she was nominated; that’s nice!" and that’s about it. My mouth dropped when Swift won. And it dropped a second time when I saw Kanye come on stage, who by the way was drunk he was carrying a Hennessey bottle the whole evening. Now this is not the first time MTV has had problems with Kanye, they denied him a couple of years ago when he wanted to perform on main stage, and a lot of people in the black community don’t watch MTV because they claim that MTV does not give as much spotlight to black artists as white artists, which I don’t completely disagree with. I mean they gave Eminem best hip hop artist this year, was his comeback even strong? I can’t even name two songs from him this year! But that’s another story. Now the whole Beyonce allowing Swift to come on stage was nice, it was kind, it was beautiful and everyone looked to Beyonce as if she was a saint. I disagree; I think the only factor that differs is Beyonce has been trained to be a star since she was 4. She knows how to have the public angel face and then she has her real face that when at home probably acts just like Kanye. But that’s the difference and her business, she does it at home, and Kanye, well…lol Kanye did it in front of millions. He did apologize to Swift and her family and even spoke to her mother on the phone. But will she accept the apology and will her fans accept it???Hmmm prolly not, but the best you can do is try, we all make mistakes some bigger than others and at the cost of others expenses…But don’t discredit someone completely because they will say what you are thinking but don’t have the guts to say. Now this is my opinion and nothing more than that, I’m not God. After all, the night was SUPPOSED to be dedicated to Michael, and even HE didn’t win every award when he rightly deserved it, but he moved on and accepted life as never equal.

I would be shocked that it happened. But this sort of outlandish behavior should be expected from Kanye West. I would have made fun of him for his previous MTV apperances where he was practically crying and complaining that he would never return to an MTV awards ceremony again

I would have fought him I don’t care if he is a man! I totally think he was wrong but I am sick and tired of him being bashed upon because he wanted Beyonce to win. She should have won that is our opinion yet people are saying he is not talented Taylor is not talented in my opinion! She didn’t deserve that award that don’t mean I am right or he is right people like different things. Yet we need to get over the race thing we Love Beyonce and they Love Taylor! I would have love to see him do that to Keisha Cole! Frankie (her mother) would have beat his butt "hollaaa" on national tv! He always tries to pull some type of political stunt. I think his response was due to the Obama liar shout which was horrible too, but that does not give him the excuse to do what he did! That poor chile did nothing to get that from him! OMG! I disagree with a lot of award decisions, I think they miss it a lot. Giving the wrong academy awards to the wrong movies because they base them on box office sales not on real talent so the show reserves the right to do what they do b/c its the show one does not have agree or disagree so his comments were harsh and mean. He obviously had an alt-era motive.

I’d have kicked his punk a$$! What he did was rude. To bad his mamma wasn’t alive to slap some sense into him. Ah well, it’s too bad. He has a lot of talent but his actions were disappointing to say the least. Lets hope that he thinks about his actions next time and behaves with more class.
I saw his apology and I believe he is truly sorry. To tell you the truth I kind of felt bad for the guy. He knows what he did was wrong. Lets hope he learns a lesson from this, Maybe he will learn to respect others and most of all himself. He has lots of fame, money and talent. Maybe he should learn to be grateful instead of hateful! I would have liked to see him act like a gentleman and congratulate a winner instead of making an idiot of himself.
Lets hope for his sake that his fans are as forgiving as Beyonce and Taylor. They have acted with class and respect. I hope that Kanye can do the same and redeem himself. God bless and peace to all.

Taylor Swift did handle that situation maturely, but I take shit from no one. I would just smile and shake my head, locking gazes with the audience.
Then after the show, I would walk up to Kanye and tell him off like this:
"If you think everyone of your color is going to respect you for what you did, you must be sadly mistaken. The only person you made an asshole of is yourself. Sometimes trying to be the center of attention is a bitch isn’t it? I just want to thank you for that entertaining piece of mind. I also wanted to say, that YOU HAD ONE OF THE WORST MOMENTS OF ALL TIME!!!
Then, I would splash my drink in his face and run off with my friends laughing our asses off!!

i would over it. then after i got over it, i would figure out somthing must be stressing him to cause him to lash out. so i would secretly (mean when the papparazi find somthing more intresting than poor old me) i would see him exspecting an apology, then i would see if he needs help in somthing and would strongly suggest taking some time off work so he has time to reflect. after all somone very close died recently, and we all react differently when trying to handle problems that we cant cope with on our own, from clamming up to lashing out.

I really don’t think Taylor Swift handled it in any way. She was to shocked to speak or act! I do think the way MTV handled it was terrible. First of all, they let the man onstage, I mean come on, they hire security for a reason and also after he humiliated her, they just cut right off into the Eminem thing. They didn’t even give her a moment to finish her speech. I feel sorry for her though, she is going to have to answer questions like, "How did you feel when that happened?" "And how do you feel towards Kayne now?" for the rest of her life! That would drive me nuts! But if Kanye took the mike from me, I would do just what she did, be dumb founded and then send my mom to bitch him out, cause I am way to nice and respectful to do it myself! Lol, like the President said, "he’s a jackass"!
