I was told that my tongue might not be able to be pierced because of the skin that ties the tongue to the bottom of your mouth. Short of going down to the place to ask someone who works there, how can I tell?

I want to pierce my tongue but my school is SUPER strict about piercings! So is there any rings you can buy that wont be noticed by teachers?
If you know can you give me a website?
I just want to hide it with certain teachers cause im not on the best accounts with them!
